Roads to Peace?

Concept Note

This concept note outlines the rationale for this collaboration. It also provides a basic overview of the themes that we aim to address in the workshop.

Background Report

Under which conditions can infrastructure successfully contribute to reducing violence and fragility? This DIIS/UNOPS report provides an overview of the mutual linkages that exist between infrastructure interventions on the one hand and conflict, fragility and stabilization on the other. Based on a review of literature, available evidence, and evaluations, it forwards six challenges conditioning infrastructure's impact in fragile and conflict-affected states. This report serves as the background report for the workshop.
